The construction industry will have a data warehouse for the development of AI technologies

In Russia, work will begin on the creation of an industrial data warehouse in development. The information platform will be used to develop artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in the construction sector.

A memorandum of cooperation in the field of data management was signed between the participating organizations on March 14. The document provides for activities to jointly define the goals, needs and requirements for the creation of an industrial data warehouse and services based on artificial intelligence technologies for participants in the housing and construction industry.

"The future data polygon can be used to optimize the investment and construction cycle using AI, as well as to analyze and predict the needs of the housing construction industry in material, labor and other resources. For citizens, the creation of a platform also has its advantages — thanks to the introduction of AI, developers can optimize their processes, which affects the final cost and quality of housing," said Dom Managing Director for IT and Digital Transformation. Russian Federation" Nikolay Kozak.

The creation of a single platform is aimed at developing artificial intelligence in construction through business access to machine-readable, impersonal data sets. The initiative is provided for by the federal project "New Rhythm of Construction" as part of the new national project "Infrastructure for Life".

"The Russian economy, including the construction industry and the real estate market, is acquiring a completely new quality today and is developing according to a progressive economic model. We see this as a time of opportunity, continuing to take an active and creative position in the development industry. The strategic partnership will consolidate our innovative role in this process," adds Elena Stepanova, Director of Strategic Development at PIK.

According to the concept, the technological basis of the platform will be a Unified Housing Information System. It will accumulate data from digital models of construction sites and analytical datasets. The platform will also be able to host ready-made AI models that have already been created by industry representatives.

"In recent years, developers have been actively implementing AI solutions from startups to optimize individual processes of their activities, from design to sales. I am confident that the implementation of the signed agreement will help us jointly bring the industry's AI to the level of the world's leading leaders," said Alexey Parshikov, Deputy Chairman of the Board for Work with Partners at the Skolkovo Foundation.
